What place does Christmas better than Walt Disney World? That’s right — nowhere. Between the Christmas trees displayed high up in each park to the garland placed on the hotel banisters, you feel joy from the season no matter the weather.
1. Gingerbread House

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa presents the most magical gingerbread house right in its lobby. Filled with intricate details such as glitter and snow, this house differs from what you might expect. You can actually walk up to the counter and purchase gingerbread of your own.
2. Nutcrackers

Life-sized nutcrackers displayed at the entrance of Disney’s Magic Kingdom help you feel one with the toys. Disney specializes in this decoration by scattering nutcrackers around the parks and the resorts. While walking down Main Street, USA in Magic Kingdom, keep your ears open to hear holiday classics being projected with a little Disney twist.
3. Christmas Trees – Everywhere!

Each of the four theme parks greets you during the holiday season with Christmas trees up to 70 feet tall! Look closely at the decorations on each tree – it gets decorated to match the theme of the park. In addition to just the parks, many of the hotels also use a tall tree as its center piece. Looking for a fun game? Count how many trees you can spot throughout your vacation!
4. Snow?

I know what you’re thinking — snow in Florida? Well, this park earned the name “Magic Kingdom” for a reason. Crazier things have happened here! Sip on some hot cocoa from the shops on Main Street while waiting for the fireworks to begin and enjoy Disney’s homemade winter wonderland.
5. Mickey Wreaths

Love to look for Hidden Mickeys? This classic Disney tradition still goes on strong — and gets enhanced with the arrival of the holidays. The designers make sure to keep the decor true to Christmas while adding a bit of Disney flair. See how many Mickeys you can find hidden in Holiday decorations!
6. Icicle Lights

Who could forget the magic of Cinderella Castle? The Imagineers trade out the colorful lights that shine on the castle with icicle lights to make it sparkle. When the cool Florida December breeze mixes with thousands of twinkling lights, you surely find yourself filled with Christmas cheer.
7. Flowers

What’s Christmas without poinsettias? These beautiful flower arrangements can be found assembled anywhere across the parks and the hotels. Disney works to remove the typical summer atmosphere by adding plants that fit the season a little bit better.
8. Carousel

Don’t spend your entire vacation in the parks — some of the most exquisite decorations lie right in the resorts. Disney’s Beach Club displays a carousel made of gingerbread right in the center of the lobby. These carnival decorations even contribute to the theme of the Boardwalk and still implement a touch of Mickey.
9. Pickles

This decoration seems a little unusual, but Disney knows what it’s doing. Composed of 11 countries, the World Showcase in Epcot celebrates the holiday season as you would all over the world. Each location stays true to the traditions from its culture, so naturally, the Germany pavilion is covered in pickles! These ornaments are always exciting to look at each year.
10. Gingerbread Tree

Sick of gingerbread yet? I hope not. Disney’s Contemporary Resort, just a walk away from the Magic Kingdom, decorates using the same treat as the other hotels. This gingerbread tree smells as good as it looks, and it makes me want to walk up and take a bite. All of these holiday treats are too tempting to resist!
