Welcome to my blog! Here, I will post about all of the tips and tricks I’ve gathered from my experience as a seasoned Walt Disney World visitor.

My name is Kimberly Hurd, and I am a student at the University of Florida. I lived in New York for the entirety of my life and I just recently made the move down to the South for college. Many people ask, “Why Florida?” To that I respond, “Why not?”

Rightfully, my friends and family back on Long Island assumed that my choice to attend this University revolved around the fact that I’m a huge Disney lover. The main reason I moved 1,000 miles south of my hometown was for UF’s public relations program, however, being only two hours away from the happiest place on Earth definitely did not hinder my decision. My dream job fits my two positions perfectly — to work PR for The Walt Disney Company. 

Since I was 2 years old, my family and I made the trip to Walt Disney World at least once a year — sometimes many more, especially when it came to college decision time. After nearly 25 trips coinciding with my personal research done on the parks and its development, I have come to hold an immense amount of Disney knowledge. I’ve never been able to let go of my love for these parks. Whether it was begging my parents to book another vacation or posting pictures of myself dressed as Tinker Bell on my Instagram when I was 13 (I was way too old to be doing that), I needed an outlet to express my interest and passion. I even made an Instagram account when I was in middle school where I just posted pictures of the Disney Walt rides. I guess it is safe to say that, yes, I am a Disney fanatic. No average Disney lover casually watches YouTube videos of the Wishes Firework Spectacular pretending I’m there in person. What better way to express my passion do that than by creating my very own blog?
